In general, the purchase price of an NPL is lower than the outstanding debt, associated with that NPL. As a result, the direct recovery of the debt, by any means permitted by law, and without the need to enforce the Mortgage Guarantee, may result in a higher amount of debt being recovered will be higher than the purchase price of the NPL.
